Ijust got back from the Nike Womenapos;s Half Marathon. Idid a 10k in July but this is my first BIG event, through TNT.

And let me just say...

ITROCKED

The preview run had me a little scared, the hills+dust upset my allergies.

But this time? Dude. By mile 5 Istill had to remind myself that Iwas the one propelling myself forward.Idetected the motion but not the effort. I was joyfully hurdling garbage cans and traffic cones.

The hills were perfect just for reminding me "oh yea, muscles" and by the time I started to feel a tad like walking, they leveled out. I only started to feel tired by the last mile, at which point we passed our coach, who ran us in to finish.

We stopped momentarily for a quick picture in front of the Golden Gate, but other than that, ran the whole way, and made my goal time of 2:30.

I am very anxious to see the official times for the splits for my actual pacing, since there was a lot of dodging and weaving around walkers for the first three miles, and the start was so slow (sardine residual), but the page is leaving me in suspense with not loading or something. Iapos;m hoping Igot a couple photos, too, since Inever got to see my 10k finish..boo.

So awesome awesome awesome. The bottleneck at the finish sucked, I couldnapos;t sprint in and could barely get my foot over the time line. Also sucked that they wouldnapos;t let me through to use the bathrooms right away. Necklace and Tee-shirt can come later, really

There was so much questioning...should Iwear warm clothes at the start and toss them, or use the bag check, should Ipee first...

I ended up doing none of those. Thought I might stop to pee along the way but didnapos;t want to wait. Ididnapos;t drink as much water as usual or Ishould, and Ididnapos;t touch my gels, but took the orange slices and bananas on the route. So oopsie for breaking the rules for racing but it worked just fine. :D

It was the after that was the hard part. The whole "ice bath" thing and standing in the cold, rough ocean for ten minutes after it all. That wasnapos;t bad either, after the water started to feel warm, but I definitely needed the hot shower to warm up after that. The weather was perfect for running, but not standing around still damp afterward.

We were excellently prepared for this. It was awesome having our mentors and coaches to run with us toward the end. While Iapos;m sure Icould have done it on my own...Iam SOGLAD I did it through TNT. The extra support, being a part of something bigger were awesome. Iapos;m ready to train for a full.

Okay.
Where to start.
Today has been a relativly normal day. Yapos;know school and stuff.
And like most days now. Twilight Has come up in the coversations more than once. Not that Iapos;m complaining.
Okay so Danika fell down a step and Borke One ligament. Bless her.
I did my Chaucer oral today, and if only you knew the pressure that has been lifted and once this toy is done I will be soo happy.
As usual I miss Maisie Like nothing else.
Tbh I can hate her dad for like not being in conact and getting her here. Heapos;s basically killing me.
Today for no reason I think Iapos;ve realised who my true friends are.
And I couldnapos;t be happier.
Although there is alot of bitching going round and to be honest Iapos;m sick of it.
Bitching is a pointless pass time and pretty childish.
But yet I still do it. But I like to think I donapos;t do it as much which is pretty cool (Y).

Iapos;m tired and sleepy and Happy.
And as the mood ring says: Passionate and as Kyara and I dicovered itapos;s over Robert Pattison. And I could not disagree.
Heapos;s cool (Y)
And perty =D

Well Enough Of my Pointless chatter and Iapos;ll let you get on with your boring lives =D
Love you all.
Kathyyyy.
x
P.S. I have an urge to dance =D

cheerleader broken neck video

Over a year ago, smoking was banned in all public enclosed spaces in the UK. Since then, pub ownersapos; associations have reported a drop in business of up to 28. Nearly half of UK pub landlords say they have had to lay off staff. Arrests for disorderly behaviour and public alcohol consumption have skyrocketed as pub patrons gather on the pavement instead of at the bar, blocking foot traffic, disturbing the neighbours, and generally creating a public nuisance.

Government officials trumpet the ban as a rousing success.

Is it any wonder Johnapos;s been spending more time at Milliways lately? A man does need his comforts, after all. So hereapos;s John at the Bar with his breakfast, his tea-and-whiskey, and his overflowing ashtray.

If Milliways ever bans smoking, John is going to have a serious discussion with the Landlord.

I have been dormant for many months, coming close to the yearly mark. Havent felt like myself and havenapos;t done much to correct that. Maybe sometime between then and here iapos;ve found enough excuses or maybe iapos;ve changed in such a mannner that i am not myself anymore, or cannot become what ever was, if i was ever to move in a forward motion. Perhaps maybe these things are meant to be in such a way so that i can become someone i can identify with. Who knows?
for now i have illusive dreams of being the kokanee girl, growing anorexicly faint and cultivating white beauty from every pore.
ah grandeur, sweet sweet.
sometimes i think it is better to kid yourself than to believe the worst is yourself.
